Chloe Flockart

These shots all come from a shoot I did recently with Ms Chloe Flockart, actress and musician and artist extraordinaire. This shoot was nearly entirely with film, only using my digital camera to get light readings. Seriously, one of the most amazing experiences I’ve had in a shoot. Just intensely emotional. It started out just as a bit of experimenting with lights and angles, not planned to be very serious at all, but that quickly changed. I used several different cameras and different kinds of film, see if you can pick the differences.

Film Experiments – Music

So just a few shots I took at Grooving The Moo festival down in Bunbury. Took my Bronica SQ-A (Aurora) and some 3200 film and took a few shots. I couldn’t really go all out with the film as I was there to actually do a job and that meant lots and lots of digital photos, but there were a few shots I got that I really liked. Featured here are Datarock and Gotye.

Film Experiments – 35mm

These shots were all taken with my Ricoh XR-2S, Erika. A beautiful old camera that was actually my first ever serious camera back years ago. For quite a while there after I got into digital, I sadly neglected her, but recently decided to pick up once more! Got myself a day loader for rolling my own film canisters and everything.

Oh, and the two shots at the end are from a film set, not actually a snuff film. And the splotches on some of the shots are from a problem with the developer used by the lab I got it done at. They had no idea what went wrong…

Film Experiments – Studio work

So I realized I haven’t posted anything in AGES, so I decided I should probably just put up something. So here we have a few examples of my experiments with medium format and 35mm film. A lot of these are just me mucking around trying to figure out all the new cameras I’ve gotten recently (I’m up to 14 cameras) and have all been about just having fun and getting back to the grass roots. Don’t expect amazing polished shiny images, cause you wont find any here. Here you’ll find dirt and grime and hopefully a few gems.

These shots were all taken in a studio setting, either at Uni or some ghetto setup in a living room at a friend’s house. See if you can pick the difference

Waking Tiffany
